Description
State Role Title: RN II / Nurse Practitioner I / Physician Assistant
Job Duties: Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate all Nursing Service activities as Charge Nurse.
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
- Assign nursing tasks and ensure proper staffing levels
- Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to nursing staff
- Ensure staff compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Oversee the delivery of nursing care to residents, ensuring it meets professional standards
- Review patient care plans, assessments, and clinical documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Monitor residents’ health status, respond to emergencies, and intervene to manage acute or chronic conditions
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current State of Virginia RN license
- Supervisory experience
- Experience in Geriatrics and In-Service Education
- CPR certification required upon hire or willing to obtain
