Job Summary:
The Radar Maintenance technician will report directly to the CMOC Supervisor/ CMOC Assistant Supervisor. This position is located at Pituffik Space Base, Greenland.
The Radar Maintenance Technician will maintain, repair, calibrate and operate all mission radar equipment. Analyze systems fault data and provide recommendations to resolve radar system degradation and failures. Assure all configuration control procedures are followed and report status of any equipment changes, modifications, or anomalies immediately to the Consolidated Maintenance and Operations Center (CMOC). Support space surveillance operations and testing. Operates CMOC facilities and immediately responds to all reporting requirements. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned to meet the changing needs of contract performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform computer operations, and use approved procedures for all phases of repair, inspection, alignment, and calibration of digital and analog equipment to achieve radar maximum operating efficiency.
Monitor radar Operations and Assessment (OA) tests, interpret faults and reconfigure equipment. Maintain accurate records, logs, files, prepare reports and supply documentation.
Must be familiar with the use and care of all Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) required to maintain a Phased Array Radar System.
Report system anomalies immediately; effect restorable actions and report equipment status.
Analyze radar systems data, meet all Missile Warning Operations Center (MWOC) requirements, and respond to all site reporting requirements.
Provide relief for the Consolidated Maintenance Operations Center (CMOC).
Immediately inform the CMOC of any failures, degradations, or system status change.
Complete recall actions for Communications-Electronics equipment, as directed, and obtain approval for any equipment removal.
Follow and support all Safety and Security regulations and policies.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Educational/Training Requirements:
High school diploma and completion of civilian or Air Force Radar Electronics System Repair course is required.
Comp TIA A+, Network+ certification(s) are a plus.
Currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain the proper US DoD issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship. Security clearance eligibility may be discussed during the interview phase.
Employment and start date is contingent upon the candidate receiving the required US DoD issued interim security clearance

Supervision:
The Radar Maintenance Technician works under the general supervision of the CMOC Supervisor.
Work Environment:
Must be able to lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Be able to negotiate multiple sets of stairs without assistance, climb ladders up to fifteen feet, work with high voltages, and can distinguish colors. Rotation schedule will be 8 weeks on and 5 weeks off with possibility of adjustment. A 72-hour work week will be the norm.
