Mission

PMI Southern Maryland Chapter advances the profession of project management by supporting individuals and organizations through professional development, certification readiness, networking, mentorship, and community engagement.

We are committed to helping professionals strengthen leadership capabilities, expand career opportunities, and successfully lead projects across government, defense, healthcare, technology, education, nonprofit, and commercial industries.

Core Objectives

Support professionals pursuing globally recognized PMI certifications, including PMP®, CAPM®, PMI-ACP®, DASM®, and other PMI credentials.
Provide accessible professional development, leadership training, and continuing education opportunities.
Create networking and mentorship opportunities for professionals at all career stages.
Support transitioning military personnel, veterans, military spouses, and students exploring project management career pathways.
Partner with local businesses, government agencies, universities, and community organizations to strengthen workforce development across Southern Maryland.
