Meet our founder

A mission that started with one belief.

Janet founded JobZone in May 2005 with a simple conviction: everyone deserves a clear path to meaningful work. A Virginia Tech marketing graduate with graduate coursework in counseling and assessment at George Mason, she brought both strategy and empathy to the mission.

From 2000 to 2005 she led the Transition Assistance Program and coordinated job fairs at Naval District Washington, South Potomac (Dahlgren), building large-scale hiring events from the ground up. Since 2005, she's carried that momentum forward, hosting monthly hiring events through JobZone.
