Information Management Specialist (IMS)https://www.usajobs.gov/job/681046200
As a Foreign Service Information Management Specialist with the Bureau of Information Resource Management (IRM), you will have the opportunity to manage and operate information technology infrastructure, including PC local and wide area networks, telecommunications systems, telephone and UHF/VHF programs, and diplomatic pouch and mail services.
As U.S. diplomats work to defend and advance our nation’s interests overseas, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the safety and integrity of all information, by protecting classified material, providing on-going technical support, and optimizing systems and network operations. Every day, you’ll encounter new challenges that will broaden your expertise in the face of rapidly evolving technologies and systems outside your area of expertise. As you travel abroad and experience new cultures, your work will make a lasting impact on building peace and prosperity.
In return for your service, you’ll have access to continued training and career development programs; health and medical coverage; federal retirement benefits; and generous paid leave. When serving overseas, you’ll be provided paid housing or an appropriate housing allowance, and paid K-12 education for dependent children.
