A sworn deputy position not for you? As a civilian member of the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office, you can serve as a Correctional Health Nurse, Administrative Assistant, or in many other highly important roles.

Become a Deputy Sheriff

The Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office is seeking applicants for the position of Deputy Sheriff who have strong communication skills, are resourceful and have the desire to make a positive difference in the lives of the people we serve. Deputy Sheriff Recruits receive seven months of paid training to become sworn law enforcement officers with certifications in jail operations, court security and civil process.
